Jason is a degreed landscape architect with over 30 years of experience in the green industry. He graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Landscape Architecture and a Building Construction minor. A nine-month internship for a leading residential design/build firm cemented where his focus would lie in the industry. But before setting out on his own, he took a position as an Estimator/Project Manager for a parks and playground development company. Building award winning skateboard parks, all-inclusive playgrounds, multi-sport athletic complexes and making nature accessible was exciting work.

Jason founded and ran his own landscape business with his brother for almost 20 years, creating distinctive outdoor environments for residential clients. After his son battled and beat cancer, life goals changed. Jason decided to pursue a different career path and joined another firm as a Design Director for a short period, before settling in as the VP of Design/Build at Semmer Landscape. In addition to handling residential design/build clients, he handles all design services for the sales team, manages the company’s social media presence, and contributes to the marketing strategy team. Jason is passionate about creating beautiful and functional landscapes that enhance the quality of life for his clients and the community. He has been recognized by ILCA and Unilock with multiple awards and has had many projects featured in manufacturer catalogs.

Jason and his wife have two children in college. In his spare time, Jason enjoys college football gamedays, country music concerts, and weekends at the lakehouse.
