Greg was born on the southside of Chicago , attending Marist HS and Marquette University, graduating in 1987 with a degree in Engineering.

Always wanting to be outside and not in the office Greg was drawn to the landscape industry in 1988. Working with friends at the time gave Greg the bug to make landscaping his career.

Starting with residential work in the late 80’s and early 90’s Greg transitioned into commercial landscaping in the mid 90”s holding senior level positions at two industry leading landscape firms before starting Semmer Landscape in 2014.

He is the father of two daughters and avid golfer.  He is very passionate about giving back to the community and donates to many charitable organizations.
